What We Do

Our mission is to assist the residents of Culver to maintain their independence to the maximum degree possible and to find meaning and satisfaction throughout their lives. The nutrition program of REAL Services was started in 1973 to provide low cost nutritious meals five days a week along with recreational activities and informational programs.

We do this Mondays through Fridays at the Beach Lodge in Culver. The Beach Lodge is located at 810 Lakeshore Drive in Culver. You can enjoy a nutritious meal, great fellowship, all over looking beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee.

Any person 60 years of age or older, or any person whose spouse is 60 or older is eligible for our program.

The nutrition program is funded by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, through the Older Americans Act and the United States Department of Agriculture. Contributions from the participants are also important. Although there is no charge for the meal, a suggested voluntary contribution of $2.50 is gratefully accepted.
